The Adult Education Center (AEC) at Cape Cod Community College offers free, in-person and online classes to adults 16+ who want to earn their high school credential, improve their English, or get ready for college and careers.

Located in downtown Hyannis, the AEC is all about helping you move forward. Whether you’re restarting your education, learning English for the first time, or just figuring out your next step.

High School Equivalency Test Prep Classes

Get your high school diploma equivalent for free.

We’ll help you build the skills you need to pass the HiSET test and open new doors.

• Free online classes
• Subjects include reading, writing, math, science, and social studies
• Morning and evening options (Tuesdays-Thursdays)
• September to May schedule
• Small class sizes and supportive instructors

Free English (ESOL) Classes

Learn English for everyday life, work, and school.

We offer English classes for adults at all levels. From beginner to advanced. You’ll learn in a supportive space with real-world skills.

• Classes meet twice a week (morning or evening)
• Focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing
• Practice real conversation and build confidence
• Join a community of learners
