Your First Step? Complete the FAFSA.

If you’re going to be coming to Cape Cod Community College, you should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Why? Because it unlocks free money.

Most students that apply get some level of award, taking the burden off of you to pay out of pocket or take out loans.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

It all starts by completing the FAFSA. Apply each year to make sure your aid is ready before classes begin.

  1. Go to studentaid.gov and complete the FAFSA
  2. Choose the correct academic year. For example, if you’re taking classes September 2026 and January 2027, complete the 2026-27 FAFSA form.
  3. Use the 4Cs school code: 002168
  4. If you are under 24, you’ll need to submit your parent’s info too
  5. The MA state aid priority date is May 1, but you can still submit your FAFSA after that

You have to register for classes before your financial aid package is finalized.
